dishes—made from locally-dug North Georgia clay and fired using a vintage glaze technique that
gives each dish a warm, vintage sepia tone.

Each one is individually rolled, cut, stamped, and hand-finished in Blairsville, GA, where our
studio turns "mud to meaning" in every batch.

What Is Hillbilly Porcelain?

Our local Georgia clay is missing the iron oxide that gives traditional clay its red tone. Instead of
Georgia Red, we get a beautiful white clay we call Hillbilly Porcelain. We then add iron oxide
designs using a vintage monochrome decal process, creating a soft, sepia-toned charm unique to
this clay and process.

This clay story begins with a flood that uncovered the rich white vein of clay... and another that
washed away our access to commercial clay. What began as necessity became a story of
restoration and resourcefulness. These soap dishes are our first success using this exclusive clay.

Care Instructions:

• Safe to use with bar soap, sponges, or jewelry.
• Clean in dishwasher or by hand.
